BLESSED
Washington D.C. - June 29, 1992

Generations waiting in the wings
To suck me in
To the void of destiny
How carefully the egg traveled
Without thinking of what it would mean To be born Blessed
Torn between my life
And the life I was given
This body just a carcass
Carrying a queen
Begging to be free
Dying to be born
Again
To a different slave driver.

"Blessed" was also written during the difficult of my struggle to decide which path to take & the immense pressure I was under, especially due to my "special position" as such.
