SEEKING AND MISLED

Searching for brotherhood,
Seeing man's humanity,
and inhumanity, insanity, and profanity,
one turns away, and towards utopia.

Thinking one has found one's goal,
the seeker immerses himself in idealism,
ignoring warning signs,
blindly heading down the path to destruction,
of self, for sake of unity,
of purpose, heart and mind.

Self effacing, self-centered,
self-sacrifice, self-introspection.
Leading to loss of self-respect,
self-confidence, self-esteem,
lose of self.

Scared selfless non-selves,
gathering together to serve
selfish servants,
Searching for sin.

In giving oneself to selflessness,
one gives up choice,
handing over responsibility,
decision making capability,
perception of reality.
