who we help

Since 1980 the Cult Hotline & Clinic mental health professionals have worked with thousands of families and former cult members, including:

Parents of cult followers, who are often worried, upset, and confused about what to do, are counseled by specially trained clinicians on practical courses of actions. Additionally, we organize a monthly Family Support Group in NYC.

The family and friends of cult followers, who often feel rejected and inclined to pull away, are guided by our clinicians in the best way to communicate with the cult members and to maintain contact.

Former cult members, who often suffer from persistent psychological aftereffects, receive intensive clinical treatment. [Read a personal experience of growing up in a cult...]

Susceptible community members, high school and college students, the elderly, and many others who may be approached by people using misleading recruitment techniques, learn through our Community Education Programs about the nature of cults and how they operate.

Please contact us if we can be of help to you or someone you know. We are available for telephone and in-person consultations, and for presentations to groups in the tri-state area.
